Spend 6,000 euros in the first six months to get 40,000 points

By spending 6,000 Euros (to meet the minimum spend for the sign-up bonus) together with the Turbo (see below — turn on Turbo section), you can earn up to 9,000 points. Combined with the current high sign-up bonus of 40,000 points, you can earn 49,000 points.
At least a round-trip flight from Frankfurt to New York
39000 points = 31200 miles (Flying Blue). A round trip flight from Frankfurt (FRA) to New York (JFK) requires only 30,000 miles (Flying Blue — Air France). In other words, once you meet the spending requirement, you can get a round-trip ticket from Germany to the US.
